Tisnov lies in picturesque broken terrain of the first hills of Ceskomoravska Vysocina. Tisnov can trots out with several exhibits of moderne architecture, besides the baroque edifices and originally gothic parish cathedral od St. Vaclav. The first one can be the novorenaissance city-hall in romantic composition. Next there are secession villas from the beginning of 20th century, a hospital or functionalist building of a bank which has been built by architect Bohuslav Fuchse and Jindrich Kumpost. Jamboruv dum (house) is also from this period, reconstructed in 1996 with the permanent exposition of painter Josef Jambora. This artist gave a part of his work to the town. Tisnov is known among all thanks to wealthy mineral finding place. The International exposition of minerals takes place here twice a year. The attencion is turned to hill Kvetnice or to natural park Svratecka hornatina too.
